Pu'u Wa'awa'a

Nāpuʻu

Nāpuʻu is the combined area of State lands containting the Pu‘uwa‘awa‘a Forest Reserve and the Pu‘uanahulu Game Management Area, including Kiholo Bay State Park Reserve. These area managed by the Hawai‘i Department of Land and Natural Resources (DNLR) and Division of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW).

 

DLNR Na Ala Hele Trails & Access Program is creating the Nāpu'u Recreation Plan, which may include new mountain bike trails. We are engagedd with DLNR to represent mountain bikers as part of this effort.

Below is a planning map from the outdated and obsolete 2003 Nāpuʻu managament plan, which was never fully implemented. The new plan will include both the Pu'u Wa'awa'a conservation area and the Pu'u Anahulu game management area.
